Lounging in Departures

without comments

So, here I am at Heathrow, no photo with this post of course, because photographing the airport is a big no no and I don’t want the big guys in the hi-vis jackets after me.

In my Dad’s best tradition I’m actually here several hours in advance if when I need to be. I allowed myself a generous two and a half hours to get to Heathrow in, potentially, the peak traffic times on the M40 and M25. I actually made it in 45 mins. Dad would be proud of me.

So, the gate won’t even be announced for another two hours yet, I’ve cleared all the check-in procedures, and I’ve said everything interesting there us to say about Heathrow airport, which is that there is nothing interesting to say about Heathrow airport. I wonder if I can drink enough Costa coffee between now and boarding to qualify for any interesting loyalty reward gifts? I’m thinking a nice Barista.

Ah well, more anon.
